The DocuTech can scan images up to 11" x 17" at a resolution of 400 dpi. Jobs are fed through the scanner once, at a rate of up to 23 pages per minute, and the images are then digitized and stored. The DocuTech also accepts jobs directly from computer files over the campus computer network.

Electronic Manipulation

Once images are input to the DocuTech, their contrast and brightness can be enhanced; they can be resized, cropped or masked; line art, photographs and halftones can be placed into text pages. Each file is manipulated separately; then, multiple files can be combined into one ready-to-print document.

Output

Printing at 600 dpi, black ink only, the DocuTech can accommodate many types of paper in both 8.5" x 11" and 11" x 17" sizes. Paper types include bond, text, book, cover, perforated, carbonless and transparency. The DocuTech can load up to three kinds of paper at once, and one document can include multiple paper types. It has a maximum output rate of 135 pages per minute, and in addition to standard one-sided pages, the DocuTech can also duplex and create booklets.
